Lionel Nascar Diecast Finishes

Paint Finish Definitions –

*Standard Finish :

A Standard Finish die-cast precisely replicates the paint finish of the actual race car. Colors of each logo, door number and detail are painstakingly matched so the die-cast represents, as closely as possible, what is actually run on the track.

*Color Chrome:

These cars have a special paint finish with a very high gloss. Color Chrome is a labor-intensive process of polishing the entire body of the car by hand. Then, the die-cast is chrome-plated with an electro-plating process, painted with clear lacquer matched precisely to the color tint of the original car, and sponsor decals are applied over the Color Chrome Finish. The result is a superior quality product.

*Copper and Nickel Special Finishes :

We are excited to announce that Copper and Nickel finishes will be offered.

*Liquid Color :

A semi-metallic painted finish, Liquid Color creates a reflective version of a team’s standard paint scheme. The Liquid Color finish has an eye-catching sheen and is sure to be a stand-out addition to any collection.

* Brushed Metal :

Brushed Metal is a labor-intensive plated finish that creates a die-cast look like no other. During the plating process, the die-cast is carefully buffed with a wheel to create the look of wire brushing. The result is a metallic die-cast car that makes a show-stopping collectable.

* Color Chrome :

Color chrome die-cast have a special finish with a very high gloss. Color Chrome is a labor intensive process of polishing the entire body of the car by hand. Then the die-cast is chromeplated with a multi-step electro-plating process, painted with clear lacquer inspired by the color tint of the original car, and sponsor decals are applied over the Color Chrome Finish. The result is a superior quality product and dazzling finish.

* Frost Finish :

The new Frost finish is the silver standard of die-cast cars. Boasting a painted satin silver body and a burst of full-color graphics, it’s one of the coolest finishes to be introduced in years. If you’re looking for NASCAR die-cast that are uniquely chill, don’t miss Frost.

* Galaxy :

New in 2012, Galaxy is a space-age painted finish which is detailed with tiny pinpricks of light. The result is a trend-setting die-cast that captures the luminosity of starlight with a black background. Truly unique and new to the market, the Galaxy finish makes a show-stopping base for any paint scheme.

* Gunmetal :

Boasting a shine like polished steel, Gunmetal is a favorite finish among NASCAR collectors. The Gunmetal look takes multiple steps and painstaking work to achieve, but the finished product is an eye-catching die-cast that takes center stage in any collection. To create Gunmetal, the die-cast is first plated and then skilled artisans apply a series of tinted lacquers to achieve this unique finish.

* Ice :

This line of die-cast is the epitome of cool. Each Ice finish car re-creates the standard paint schemes of the most popular drivers in NASCAR, only with a painted pearl white base and silver gray details.

* Raced Win :

When Trevor Bayne won the Daytona 500 or Dale Earnhardt Jr. outpaced the field at Michigan, fans wanted the Raced Win finish of the winning cars. One of the most collected die-cast available, Raced Win cars recreate what a winning looked like in Victory Lane right down to scuff marks and confetti. After each race, Lionel NASCAR’s photographers take detailed photos of the winning car from every angle. The photos are then downloaded by the company’s artists who painstakingly recreate each “battle scar” that the winning car sustained on its way to victory. Though Raced Win cars do take time to produce, the result is a highly collectable car that captures a historic moment in time.

* Rampage :

Another 2012 introduction, Rampage is an example of an emerging paint technology that creates a metallic-looking car without the weight or higher costs typically associated with plating. The Rampage finish re-creates the look of solid pewter with special paint. With its smoky gray base and amazing detail, Rampage is sure to be a mainstay die-cast finish for many years to come.

* Stealth :

The ARC Stealth series is inspired by the phantom-like moves that win races and clinch championships. Each Stealth die-cast features a black-on-black paint scheme with a ghosted matte finish and steel grey details.
